Mark leads actuarial strategy, governance, and capital and risk oversight across the firm’s insurance businesses.

Mark has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and product development, with deep expertise in asset-intensive insurance, product development, and actuarial leadership. He most recently served as Chief Client Solutions Officer at American Equity, where he supported the liability strategy underpinning the company’s revised strategic direction and its sale to Brookfield Reinsurance in May 2024. He also served as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the reinsurance and FP&A functions. Previously, he led the team responsible for financial projections and capital management at Brighthouse Financial.
